Most reclining seats lock the backrest from one side only. This Trak Racer seat uses dual locking recliner assemblies to support the backrest from both sides, eliminating side-to-side flex during sustained control inputs and long-haul flight sessions.
Locking the backrest from both sides removes the twisting and rocking felt in conventional single-sided recliner mechanisms.
Load is supported across two recliner assemblies, creating a stronger connection between the seat base and backrest.
Well suited to HOTAS setups, high-torque direct drive wheelbases and control loading systems used in advanced flight simulation.
| Rigidity Factor | Single-Sided Recliner | Dual Recliner (This Seat) |
|---|---|---|
| Recline lock points | One side only | Both sides |
| Frame twist under sustained control input | More noticeable, especially with HOTAS and high-torque hardware | Reduced — load shared across both adjusters |
| Creaking over time | Common as the single adjuster wears | Minimised — even wear across both mechanisms |
| Recline adjustability | Yes | Yes — with added strength |
Comparison reflects typical single-sided recliner mechanisms versus this seat's dual-sided design and is intended as a general guide to construction differences.
Designed for repeated entry, exit and long simulator sessions.
Helps maintain the upholstery's appearance in bright rooms and commercial training environments.
The smooth coated surface can be wiped clean, practical for home simulators and training centres.
Double stitched using high-strength nylon thread, with reinforced wear areas for improved durability.

Great to finally get a dedicated Flight Sim seat. Looks really great with the super upholstry and arm rests which are angle adjustable using roller mechanisms under the arms. It is robust and of a high quality construction.
It is super comfortable on long flights and I love it.
If you are fitting it to a Rig, you will need to acquire a slider mechanism, I simply removed the one off of my now redundant racing style seat that happened to be the universal slider mechanism fitting this seat perfectly.
You will lovew this seat ; if you are a dedicated Flight Simmer it is a must have item.
